Rachel McDonald
Rachel grew up on a farm in California where they grew plums, oranges, walnuts and Christmas trees. She came to Colorado frequently while growing up to visit family in Golden and Center. She has a Bachelors and Masters degree in English and went to work for a textbook publisher. Around 10 years ago she got a temporary job at Mines while job hunting and loved it so much she decided to stay. She’s worked with multiple academic departments and interdisciplinary programs over the years.
Rachel understands the curve balls life throws your way and strives to helps students deal with the ones which impact their education and career goals.

Has lived in California, Utah, Michigan, Ohio and Colorado.
First paid job as a child was handing out saws at the family choose and cut Christmas tree farm.
A huge fantasy/sci-fi nerd and reads an average of 2-3 books a week.
