Edgar Mine
This site offers hands-on experience in the operation of a modern, full-scale mine. This underground and surface field research laboratory is an invaluable component of the education of mining, geological, petroleum, explosives and other engineering disciplines at Mines.
Nuclear Science and Engineering Center (NSEC)
These laboratories support ongoing, exciting research in nuclear reactor design and operation, radiochemistry, nuclear materials, nuclear forensics, radiation imaging, nuclear physics and nuclear non-proliferation.
Ultrafast Science Research Lab
A state-of-the-art facility where the researchers both develop the ultra-optical technology and use it to advance microscopes for fields that include biology to advanced manufacturing.
