Decide which doctoral, master’s, or certificate program is for you.
Determine Application Deadline.
Deadlines can vary by program and term. Many programs also have a priority app deadline to ensure your spot and success.
Create A Graduate Admissions Account.
Your admissions account is where you will access the Mines application, submit your materials and view your admission decision.
Apply To Mines.
Log in to your application account and apply using the Mines Graduate Student Application and pay the application fee. You can save your application and resume at any time.
Application fee is $75 for domestic students and $95 for international students.
Submit Your Materials.
Check your program to find out what is required to complete your application. You will log in to your admissions account to view your checklist and to submit any materials.
This may include items such as official transcripts, letters of recommendation and GRE scores.
STOP! File Review
Your file will not be reviewed until your application AND all required materials are received. Log in to your admissions application account to make sure you do not have any missing items on your application checklist.
Check your Email.
Stay engaged and up-to-date. We will notify you of important information, missing materials and your admissions decision via email. You can also always log back in to check your application status in your admissions account.
Submit Decision Form.
After you receive your admissions decision from Mines, you will need to submit your enrollment decision form in order to hold your spot. Upon being accepted into your program, you will see the additional step appear on your checklist. It’s easy! Just log in to your admissions account and submit.

Know where your application is in the process every step of the way! After you create an admissions application account and application, you will have access to your personalized portal where you will see an application tracker as well as a full list of materials received and ones you need to submit.
Next Steps Checklist
Admitted students will need to log in to their application account and submit their enrollment decision form. After submitted, you will see a next steps checklist within your application account portal. This will include details on orientation, housing options, funding information and more.
