Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Master’s Non-Thesis

The Master’s Non-thesis program is designed to provide students with more essential, in-depth knowledge and practical skills needed to advance their careers in the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) field. This non-thesis, online only program is structured to be of use for both those seeking to expand their career or those just getting started.

To receive this degree, students will need to complete at least 30 units of online coursework, which includes 9 units in core courses, including a 3-unit capstone course, and 21 credits of electives.

Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Certificate

As the interest in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) continues to grow around the world, so does the need for qualified professionals with unique faculty to take on the challenge. Mines’ CCUS graduate certificate program fills that need. By bringing together our world-renowned knowledge in the earth sciences, engineering and economics and business fields, the CCUS program enables students to explore the unique challenges around carbon sequestration, climate change and the energy transition while acquiring the skills needed to advance their career.

Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Interdisciplinary Program

As global interest in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) continues to grow, so does the demand for skilled professionals equipped to tackle its unique challenges. The CCUS interdisciplinary program aim to harness and leverage the depth and breadth of research at Mines to develop engineering solutions and train engineers and scientists for a future with CCUS. We are a collaborative platform for academia and industry to develop multiphysics and multidisciplinary research and engineering solutions combined with an education portfolio that allows a decarbonized, environmentally equitable and sustainable future.
